Architecture-Studio livrera à l’horizon 2030 la future gare de Nanterre-la-Folie au cœur du quartier des Groues. La gare recevra la ligne 15 du Grand Paris Express et sera connectée à la gare RER. Le chantier devrait démarrer en 2024 avec les 2 premières années consacrées à l’excavation des terres suivies de 4 années de construction pour la gare. Le planning étant principalement lié à la disponibilité des tunneliers actuellement en service sur les tronçons qui seront livrés à l’occasion des Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024.
L’agence parisienne réaliserait également les gares de Saint-Cloud et de Suresnes Mont-Valérien.
Au cœur du quartier des Groues
Comme pour de nombreuses gares du Grand Paris Express, le quartier des Groues qui accueille la gare de Nanterre-la-Folie va profiter d’une nouvelle vie menée par les urbanistes de Güller & Güller. 630 000 m² de bâtiments seront construits dont 340 000 m² de logements et 225 000 m² de bureaux sur un terrain de 65 hectares.
Ce nouveau quartier sera notamment structuré autour du Boulevard de La Défense qui conduira au boulevard circulaire de Puteaux. On y retrouvera notamment le futur siège social du numéro un mondial de la construction, Vinci, dessiné par Jean-Paul Viguier et Associés et Marc Mimram qui enjambera en partie la gare du RER E. Cette dernière gare sera reliée à celle du Grand Paris Express par deux chemins, l’un aérien avec une passerelle dessinée par Exploration Architecture et l’autre souterrain avec un tunnel qui sera construit lors de l’aménagement des quais.
La lumière naturelle comme ligne directrice
Parmi les demandes de la maîtrise d’ouvrage, il y avait celle d’avoir 200 lux minimum d’éclairage. C’est de cette contrainte, que les architectes d’Architecture-Studio ont fondé leur proposition architecturale. Bénéficiant d’une gare relativement haute, avec seulement un dénivelé de 4,50 mètres par rapport au niveau de la rue, l’agence parisienne a ainsi proposé une gare qui soit éclairée naturellement, sans avoir recours à l’éclairage artificiel.
Cette intention a ainsi modelé l’architecture de la gare et guidé le choix de la matérialité. Interrogé par la rédaction de Buildingmap Projects, Romain Boursier, architecte associé en charge du projet explique : « Nanterre-La-Folie sera un futur pôle gare emblématique du réseau du Grand Paris par la qualité de ses articulations avec le quartier des Groues à venir. Elle aménage avec les dynamiques du grand territoire en glissant sous la future grande promenade paysagère du Balcon, un écran lumineux de 60 mètres de long : le Scope, offrant aux futurs voyageurs un parcours baigné de lumière naturelle. Elle construit avec la future activité du quartier en ouvrant sur tous les cheminements des usagers, des espaces animés, fluides et chaleureux par une série de strates programmées revêtues de bois, pour une gare pleinement intégrée à son environnement. ».
Un scope habillé de bois
Concernant la matérialité des revêtements de la gare, les architectes d’Architecture-Studio ont suivi deux stratégies : Jouer la réflexion avec la structure grâce au métal et conduire les usagers grâce au bois.
La particularité des stations de métro réside dans les équipements techniques qu’elles doivent intégrer, l’enjeu principal est celui de la qualité de l’air. Il faut savoir que la qualité de l’air à proximité du périphérique est de meilleure qualité que celui dans les stations de métro de la capitale !
Le scope, comme le nomme les architectes, permettra de dissimuler les différents équipements techniques, notamment les bouches de désenfumage. De plus, cet espace en mezzanine permettra de loger les bureaux.
La présence du bois, est également une volonté des architectes pour intégrer des matériaux naturels afin que la gare de Nanterre-la-Folie soit la « plus accueillante possible » souligne l’architecte, avant d’ajouter que la grande strate en bois a pour objectif de « s’adapter au plus juste des locaux techniques et de garder l’échelle humaine ».
Un système structurel plus souple que pour une gare classique.
Le sol de la gare est constitué d’un sol en calcaire grossier assez bon nous explique l’architecte. Le besoin faible d’excavation permet aujourd’hui aux ingénieurs de Setec TPI et Systra d’envisager de recourir à une paroi moscovite.
Enfin, la partie construite au-dessus de la station de métro sera confiée à une autre équipe de maîtrise d’œuvre. La ville de Nanterre et Paris la Défense étudient actuellement la programmation du projet.
